Julia Lyn is a writer and storyteller drawn to imaginative tales inspired by nature, animals, friendship, and kindness. She also has a love for personal narratives, free verse poetry, and episodic memoir.

Her children's stories explore curiosity, individuality, and the beauty of connection, often with a touch of humor and whimsy. Her personal writing reflects on the complexities of everyday life—love, loneliness, silence, resilience, and the moments that shape us.

Julia is an educator who teaches middle school Social Studies and English Language Arts, as well as high school Yearbook. Throughout her teaching career, she has helped foster a love of reading and storytelling, including establishing libraries for both primary and middle school students.

Her approach to teaching is rooted in kindness and meaningful connection—values that also shape her writing.

Julia doesn't really do hobbies—she does full-blown obsessions. Once something sparks her curiosity, she's all in, eager to learn everything there is to know. Writing is no exception, complete with endless ideas, countless revisions, and more than a few creative detours. Away from the page, she loves good food, plenty of laughter, and time with her family.

Whether writing for children or adults, Julia hopes her stories offer moments of recognition and understanding. Through humor, imagination, and honest reflection, she invites readers to discover a little of themselves within the pages.
